ChatNex ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our conversation analysis service.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Supabase Auth. We may also collect your name and profile information if you choose to provide it.
When you upload conversation screenshots, we temporarily store these images to perform optical character recognition (OCR) and emotional analysis. Images are automatically deleted after successful analysis.
We collect information about how you use our service, including API usage, features accessed, and subscription information for billing and service improvement purposes.
Payment information is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. We only retain transaction IDs and subscription status information.

We use OpenAI's API to perform OCR and emotional analysis on your conversations. Your conversation text is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI's data processing is governed by their privacy policy and terms of service. We use OpenAI's zero-retention API to ensure your data is not used for training purposes.
For free tier users or as a fallback option, we use Tesseract.js, an open-source OCR library that processes images locally on our servers without sending data to third parties.
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (for database and authentication) and Vercel (for application hosting). Images are stored temporarily in Supabase Storage and are automatically deleted after successful analysis to minimize data retention.
We retain your conversation metadata, analysis results, and extracted text for as long as your account is active. You can delete your conversations at any time from your dashboard.
We have implemented technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised use, access or disclosure. We restrict access to personal information to authorised personnel only and regularly review our security procedures to ensure legal compliance. Our security measures include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication through Supabase, row-level security policies in our database, and automatic image deletion after processing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
